Marie is an educational consultant, former head of Wilmington Montessori School, former president and CEO of the American Montessori Society, teacher, and administrative educator at the Center for Montessori Education, NY.
Paul J. Nichol Sr.
A U.S. Army veteran, Paul began a long and productive career in the corporate world. He gained experience, largely, in the areas of training and education. He earned an EdD in human resource development from George Washington and an MA in Education from Western Kentucky University.
John Davis has been a Board member since April 2016 and also serves as the Treasurer of Connecting Generations. John has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry and is currently an Executive Director in Risk Management at JPMorgan Chase. John received his bachelors degree at the Univ of Delaware and his MBA from the Univ of Maryland.
Bonnie Metcalfe has worked in the finance industry for over 20 years and is currently a Fiduciary Advisor at Wilmington Trust in Wilmington, DE. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Wilmington University in Delaware.
Edward (Mike) F. Eaton
Immediate Past Chair
Mike rejoined the board this year, making this his eleventh year of active service. He is an attorney specializing in family law and volunteers to help children in dependency/neglect cases. He is a lifelong member of the community and is married with two children. He enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and gardening. Mike was honored with Connecting Generations’ Robert A. Kasey, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
Don has over 25 years of business leadership experience. His skills include marketing, sales, cross-functional team leadership, organizational development, corporate mentoring, strategic planning and financial accountability and management.
Carmen A. Jordan-Cox, Ph.D.
Carmen is a Judge in the Delaware Justice of the Peace Court. Prior to joining the judiciary, she spent 32 years working in higher education institutions. Dr. Jordan-Cox has had extensive board and community involvements and she previously served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for the Family Court of Delaware.
After living and working in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Europe, Jane moved to Delaware, married, raised two children, and served as a State Representative in the Delaware General Assembly for 20 years. She has been honored both nationally and locally for her advocacy for children for more than 40 years. She has served on the Board of Connecting Generations for over 20 years.
Susan has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry and is currently a wealth advisor in Wilmington, DE. She and her family are active members of Christ Church Christiana Hundred. She enjoys volunteering for her church and for the Kennett YMCA as a Stroke and Turn Official. Susan is a member of P.E.O., a philanthropic organization for women. She earned her B.A. in English from Sweet Briar College.
Jim received his master’s in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He worked for the DuPont Company for 36 years and ran his own management consulting business for ten years. After retiring, Jim joined the board of Connecting Generations and has served for 20 years. He is an instructor at the University of Delaware and is a published author. He has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
Tom has 36 years of law enforcement and public safety experience, including 22 years as Chief of Police and/or Public Safety Director. A charter member of FBI – LEEDA, Inc. and past president, Tom served as its Executive Director from 2001 to 2013. He was named Executive Director Emeritus upon his retirement in 2013. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration, as well as numerous law enforcement certifications.
