December 2009 - February 2010
January was National Mentoring Month! To celebrate in Delaware, the first annual "Mentoring Works" Summit was held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel in Dover. With almost 300 enthusiastic participants, the event was a success! Click here to learn more.
President Obama (read more) and the U.S. Senate (read more) have officially recognized January as National Mentoring Month 2010.

Creative Transitions workshop at Academy of Lifelong Learning in Wilmington is free and open to the public. Register today for this session that begins on April 8.

September/October 2008
Winners of the Creative Mentoring Mini-Grant Program, sponsored by Valero Delaware City Refinery, were announced. Funds were granted to twenty-one school mentoring programs for materials, supplies, or events that will directly impact mentored students. Congratulations to the grantees, and thanks to Valero for its generosity! Read the press release.
Creative Mentors and mentees participated in NPR's StoryCorps project. Listen to two of these interviews, which will be preserved at the Library of Congress for generations to come!
