About Our Board
Don has over 25 years of business leadership experience. His skills include marketing, sales, cross-functional team leadership, organizational development, corporate mentoring, strategic planning and financial accountability and management.
John Davis has been a Board member since April 2016 and also serves as the Treasurer of Connecting Generations. John has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry and is currently an Executive Director in Risk Management at JPMorgan Chase. John received his bachelors degree at the Univ of Delaware and his MBA from the Univ of Maryland.
Bonnie Metcalfe has worked in the finance industry for over 20 years and is currently a Fiduciary Advisor at Wilmington Trust in Wilmington, DE. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Wilmington University in Delaware.
Rysheema is the Chief Executive Officer & President of RD Innovative Planning. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and in 2013 graduated with a master’s degree in Sustainable Development/International Policy and Management from School for International Training. Rysheema was elected to Wilmington City Council in January 2017 as a Councilwoman At-Large.
Wanda Collins is an Enrolled Agent/ Master Tax Advisor for Block Advisors. She specializes in helping small businesses reach their financial goals. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Jackson State University and Masters of Science from Carlos Albizu University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Jeff is a registered nurse at Christiana Hospital. His nursing experience extends over 14 years from emergency medicine to critical care as well as serving as a Nursing Supervisor. Jeff is also the father of three children. In 2016, he helped create his own mentorship program at Maclary Elementary which we are now happy to have in the Connecting Generations family. Jeff is a graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College and is currently attending the University of Delaware to continue his own educational journey.
Marie is an educational consultant, former head of Wilmington Montessori School, former president and CEO of the American Montessori Society, teacher, and administrative educator at the Center for Montessori Education, NY.
Dr. Judith Montilla
Dr. Judith Montilla was born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela. She has lived in the U.S. since 2002. Her work in the field of education started in Venezuela as a teacher before accepting the position as principal at J. N. Andrews Adventist School located in Portuguesa, Venezuela. In the United States, Dr. Montilla has worked for the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Delaware (UD) as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Spanish. She also serves the Brandywine School District, Delaware, as a high school teacher at Concord High School. In addition, Dr. Montilla is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Education at Allegheny East Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists.
Achille (Ash) is an attorney at Giordano, DelCollo, Web & Gagne, LLC. As a family law attorney, Ash sees the difference that caring people make in children’s lives on a daily basis. Ash holds a law degree from Delaware Law School and a bachelor’s degree from DeSales University.
Tom has 36 years of law enforcement and public safety experience, including 22 years as Chief of Police and/or Public Safety Director. A charter member of FBI – LEEDA, Inc. and past president, Tom served as its Executive Director from 2001 to 2013. He was named Executive Director Emeritus upon his retirement in 2013. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration, as well as numerous law enforcement certifications.
